You are cordially invited to join us as we present the first results of the INTERREG project TREE — Training for integrating Refugees in the Euregio.
The goal of TREE is to contribute to a Euregional standard in refugee integration by creating a training programme for those who work with refugees. The project contributes to the INTERREG aims of strengthening the collective identity of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. During the research we compared how integration works in four sub-regions of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine – Liège Province, the region of Aachen, parts of the Eifel region — Bitburg/Prüm and Vulkaneifel, and Dutch Limburg. We then interviewed practitioners in order to discover what programmes already existed in the regions and what, from the point of view of practitioners, was missing.
We will share the results of this research and the plan for a training programme that will begin in 2020. This training programme targets people who work with refugees in different contexts.
There will also be live music and an opportunity for networking with other integration stakeholders in the region.
