The Meuse-Rhine Euregio looks back on a long and varied history. Because of its common identity as a tri-border region, it is characterised, in particular, by its openness, the mobility of its people and a shared understanding of culture.
Due to the large number of immigrants and the abundance of issues to be resolved, the region faces particularly challenging tasks. The immigration of people from other cultural backgrounds will continue to be a central topic for both the region’s economy and society in the coming years. The successful implementation of a common integration policy and the pursuit of shared values are essential prerequisites for actively shaping the future together.
